Energy & Natural Resources is one of the most important and fastest changing disciplines today.  Our team has an in-depth understanding of the broad spectrum of issues that relate to the regulatory framework for energy and natural resources and today we are one of the leaders in the energy field. We have been there for our clients to help them navigate the way through new areas of law and regulations and have been involved in a series of transactional engagements with both Israeli and multinational clients, and as such are able to pass this insight onto our clients.

Our Energy & Natural Resources team is at the forefront of this sector, providing clients advice on matters relating to solar energy (thermo-solar energy and photovoltaic), hydro-electricity pumped-storage, wind, natural gas fired power plants and gas transfer and distribution.

Climate change and environmental development have changed traditional energy markets creating opportunities for producers, developers and financiers.

We advise on the full spectrum of energy and natural resource deals, including:

• financing of projects;
• acquisitions, planning, construction and O&M;
• EPC agreements;
• energy regulation;
• long term Power Purchase Agreements;
• tariff based projects and renewable energy BOT tenders; and
• mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.

We also draw on the expertise of lawyers in other groups within the firm, as required, from areas such as project & infrastructure finance, real estate and taxation.

We have been involved in some of the pathfinder and largest energy deals to date both in Israel and/or involving Israeli developers internationally.   We represent Dalia Power Energies Ltd. in the development of 850MW natural gas fired power plant in the south of Israel; we represented a major Israeli bank in the financing of the first medium sized PV project to be financed in Israel located at Kibbutz Ketura; we represent a major Israeli bank in the financing of a hydro-electric project in the north of Israel; we represent Israel Natural Gas Lines Ltd with respect to gas transportation agreements; we have represented a developer of a wind farm project in the north of Israel and we advised the Eurocom Group in its acquisition of Enlight Renewable Energy and continue to represent Enlight in its development and financing activities
